A position on buying leads

A lead market should show you the record before you pay for it.

Every lead here is priced from its own answers, shown in full apart from the name, and stamped with how many agents have already bought it.

What follows is not a conversion rate. We do not have one we could stand behind, so there is not one on this page.

The charge

The lead business sells you a territory, then sells the same person inside it.

What agents buyTypical costWhat arrives
A national portal territory$300 to $1,000+ a monthLeads shared with other agents
A seller-lead subscription$400 to $800 a monthA monthly quota, quality unstated
An expired and for-sale-by-owner list$150 to $300 a monthLists, not enquiries
A website-lead subscription$300 to $700 a monthMixed quality, billed regardless

Those are the price bands OpenLuxe's own competitive research records, by category rather than by brand. The figures vary; the shape does not. You pay first, monthly, whether or not a lead worth having appears that month.

What we hold

Six positions, each with its mechanism attached.

A claim with nothing behind it is a slogan. Every assertion below is followed by the part of the product that makes it true, so you can check it rather than believe it.

You should see the record before you pay for it.

How An unpurchased lead already shows its property type, price range, down payment, credit score band, annual income, employment status, existing debts, purchase timeframe and the location the person entered. The name and email address are the only things held back.

The price should come from the lead, not from your postcode.

How Each lead is priced from its own answers: the stated price range, the credit score band, annual income, down payment percentage, purchase timeframe, existing debt, and whether the person asked for an agent. Age then multiplies that number. Territory never enters the calculation.

You should know how contested a lead is before you buy it.

The number Every lead carries a view count and a purchase count, visible before payment. A standard purchase is shared, and there is no cap on how many agents a shared lead can be sold to. That is not hidden here, because the counter is how you decide.

Exclusive should mean something specific, not something reassuring.

Exactly what it does Exclusive costs twice the tier price and removes the lead from this marketplace immediately, from every other agent's screen, over a live connection. That is the whole of it. It is not a promise about the person, it is a statement about who else can buy the record.

Self-reported is self-reported.

Where a lead comes from Every field was typed by someone completing a financing questionnaire on OpenLuxe, who was credited for finishing it. None of it has been independently verified, and no phone number, income figure or credit band on this marketplace has been checked against anything. Calling that verified would be the first lie.

You should be able to stop without cancelling anything.

What you are agreeing to There is no subscription, no territory and no contract. Leads are bought with credits, one credit to one cent, added as you go. Buy four this month and none next month, and nothing lapses.

The arithmetic

Freshness is the only thing that multiplies.

TierAge of the enquiryMultiplierWhat it means
HotUnder 24 hours2xThe person answered yesterday.
Warm1 to 7 days1.5xStill inside the week they asked.
ColdOver 7 days1xNo premium. The base price stands.
ExclusiveAny age2x againApplied on top of the tier price.

The number those multiply is set per lead by its own answers and printed on the lead before you buy, so the total is never a surprise at checkout. Credits are the platform's unit of payment: one credit is one cent, topped up as you go. Several leads can be selected and bought in one action.

Position 01, drawn out

Thirteen fields open. Three closed.

Held back until purchase

Released on purchase. You can then forward the complete lead to your own inbox or to a colleague on your team, and see when they opened it. Purchased leads move through an eight-stage pipeline, from New to Closed, with notes, deal value and commission recorded per lead.

Against our own interest

The best lead is the one you did not have to buy.

OpenLuxe's own product documentation puts this before the marketplace is mentioned at all: generate your own first, because those enquiries are yours alone and arrive at no cost per lead. Buy here to fill the gap in a slow month, or to test a market you have no presence in yet, not to replace the five things below.

OpenLuxe does not verify the identity, contact details or financial information on a lead. Every field is what the person entered on the questionnaire, and it is presented to you as exactly that.

A standard purchase is shared and uncapped. Exclusivity is the only mechanism that limits who else can buy a given lead, it costs twice the tier price, and it applies only within this marketplace.

No conversion rate, close rate or earnings figure appears anywhere on this page. What a lead is worth depends on your market and your follow-up, and anyone quoting you a number for that is guessing.

The agent marketplace is shown to accounts carrying Real Estate on their industry profile, and it lists enquiries where the person asked for agent help or said they are also selling a home. Financing-only enquiries go to the mortgage marketplace instead.

Read the record. Then decide.

The marketplace updates over a live connection: new enquiries arrive at the top of the list, and a lead bought exclusively leaves every other agent's screen as it happens.
