Open Labs Cookie Policy
Effective date: 1 February 2023 · Last updated: 21 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Open Labs, LLC (“Open Labs,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies across every site and app we own and operate — OpenLuxe (openluxe.co), OpenVerce (openverce.com), OpenFlix (openflix.co), HoodGuess (hoodguess.com), StickerVerce (stickerverce.com), VidVerce (vidverce.com), ReelReel (reelreel.co), and Baddles (baddles.co) — collectively the “Services.” Because the Services share one account system, cookies set for authentication and preferences may be used across them. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy and the property list in our Terms of Service. It covers the use of cookies between your device and our sites.
We also provide basic information on third-party services we may use, who may also use cookies as part of their service. This policy does not cover the cookies those third parties set under their own privacy policies.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our in-product cookie consent settings, through your browser's privacy controls, or by sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as a valid opt-out request for any sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Refusing non-essential cookies will not block you from using the platform, but some functionality (e.g., remembered preferences, analytics-driven improvements, certain personalization) may be reduced.
Our cookie commitments: We do not use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to sell your personal information to data brokers, ad networks, or list resellers, and we do not use them for cross-context behavioral (interest-based) advertising. The advertising on our platform is contextual and non-personalized — it is selected based on the page you are viewing, not on a behavioral profile built from your activity across other sites and apps. See “Advertising cookies” below for detail and opt-out options.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores on your device when you visit. It typically contains information about the website itself, a unique identifier that allows the site to recognize your web browser when you return, additional data that serves the cookie’s purpose, and the lifespan of the cookie itself. We also use closely related technologies such as browser local storage, software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile apps, pixels/web beacons, and device identifiers; where we say “cookies” in this policy we mean all of these.
Cookies are used to enable certain features (e.g. logging in), track site usage (e.g. analytics), store your user settings (e.g. time zone, notification preferences), and to personalize your content (e.g. language).
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are usually referred to as first-party cookies. They typically only track your activity on that particular site. Cookies set by other sites and companies (i.e. third parties) are called third-party cookies. They can be used to recognize you on other websites that use the same third-party service.
Types of cookies and how we use them
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are crucial to your experience of a website, enabling core features like user logins, account management, session security (including CSRF protection), shopping carts, and payment processing. These are always active because the platform cannot function securely without them; they do not require consent.
Performance / analytics cookies
Performance cookies track how you use the site so we can understand usage patterns, diagnose errors, and improve the experience. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept non-essential cookies (they are governed by Google Consent Mode and default to denied until you consent). We configure Analytics to limit the collection of directly identifying information, and we do not use Analytics data to build cross-site advertising profiles.
Functionality cookies
Functionality cookies collect information about your device and the settings you configure (like language, theme, and time-zone) so we can provide customized, enhanced, or optimized content and services. These may be set by us (first-party) or by service providers that power a feature you use.
Advertising cookies (contextual, non-personalized)
Some pages on our platform display advertising through Google AdSense (and, where enabled, the Ezoic ad service). We run these in non-personalized (contextual) mode: ads are chosen based on the content of the page you are viewing and coarse, non-identifying signals (such as approximate, country-level location for legal and language reasons), and not on an interest profile built from your behavior across other websites and apps.
In this mode, our advertising partners may still set a limited set of cookies for essential ad functions such as frequency capping (not showing you the same ad too many times), aggregated reporting, and detecting invalid traffic and ad fraud. We instruct Google to serve non-personalized ads for every request and, through Google Consent Mode v2, we hard-deny ad personalization and the sharing of user data for advertising regardless of your consent choice. As a result, we do not treat this activity as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under U.S. state privacy laws.
How to control advertising cookies: You can (i) decline non-essential cookies in our consent banner or settings; (ii) send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor; (iii) use your browser or device controls to block cookies; and (iv) manage Google’s ad settings at myadcenter.google.com and industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info. Because our ads are contextual, blocking these cookies does not change which ads you see; it only affects frequency capping and fraud/reporting functions.
Email pixels and link tracking
Certain emails we send (for example, transactional and product emails) may include a small pixel and tracked links so we can measure whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. Where we store the associated IP address for this purpose, it is stored in hashed form. You can suppress most image-based tracking by disabling remote images in your email client, and you can opt out of non-essential email entirely using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message.
Cookies and technologies we use
The table below lists the main categories of cookies and technologies we use. Specific names and lifetimes may change as we update the platform and our providers; this table is a representative summary rather than an exhaustive list.

Managing your preferences
At any time you may decline cookies from our site if your browser permits. Most browsers allow you to activate settings to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. You may also reopen our in-product consent settings to change your choice, or send a GPC signal. Because your ability to limit cookies is based on your browser’s capabilities, the exact controls available to you depend on your browser and device.
