One item a day, in order

Streaks in your own timezone

What Daily Challenges does

Daily Challenges is for plans you work through one day at a time. Join a plan, and each day it shows you the next item in order: today's reading, today's step, today's practice. Mark it done when you have finished, and your streak grows.

The first plan is reading the Bible in a year: the whole Protestant canon, three to four chapters a day over 365 days. The same shape fits a 30-day devotional, two weeks of focus or a couch-to-5k. Scripture readings are given as references, so you read them in the Bible and translation you already use.

Every person moves through a plan at their own pace. Your place in the plan is yours, so you can be on chapter 12 while a friend is on chapter 300. The day turns over at midnight where you live, not on a server clock, and a streak only breaks once a whole day has gone by with nothing done. Marking the same day done twice does not skip you ahead.

Who it is for

How it works

  1. Open Daily Challenges and start a plan.
  2. Each day, open it to see today's item.
  3. Do the reading or the step, then mark the day done.
  4. Come back tomorrow for the next item and keep the streak going.

Questions

If I start a plan again, do I lose my place?
No. Pressing Start on a plan you are already in keeps you where you are.
What happens if I travel to another timezone?
Your day follows your own timezone, so "today" means today on your calendar.
Can I ask an agent about my progress?
Yes. Ask any agent what today's chapter is, whether you have done today's item, or how long your streak is. Marking the day done stays a tap on the page, after you have read it.
Can I fit a challenge into my day?
Yes. Daily Challenges sits beside Daily Routines, so a reading can be one block of your morning.
